Documents required to travel to Bhutan
For the Indians:
Passport or Voter ID card (must have the date of birth on the voter card)
The entry permit is taken from the Phuentsholing border when entering Bhutan.
If you want to go anywhere other than Thimphu or Paro, then special permit is required.
The visa:
Indian citizens do not need a visa.
The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) was introduced in 2020.
For Indians: ₹1200 / day (may vary)
Children (under 5 years) FREE
It takes time to get Entry Permit and Special Permit: 1 day (less than it takes for passport)

1. Paro (Paro)
